I wanted to leave this review for the HAYWARD SP1091LX Above Ground Dyna-Ski Pool Skimmer in relation to the Sams club above ground pools, my reason for this is because i cant find any info anywhere on whether these skimmers fit my pool, so i took a leap of faith and bought one, and i am GLAD I DID!.

the sams club pools are similar to intex pools but they have a unique skimmer attached with a waste of an excuse for a pump! (if you own one then i need say no more about that), so after one season of green water, a mosquito haven and, many happy frogs, and a few water bills for refilling the pool i finally decided to get real and refit the pump, skimmer and vacuum bits and pieces.

first of all i purchased a 1/2hp hayward pump with filter drum attached. I think its was the cl200 or something, you have to buy one of these to keep your pool water clean so if your about to buy a pool then note that its going to cost you another $200 or so total to really make it... Read more

I upgraded from an old Jacuzzi Deck Hand skimmer. The Jacuzzi is hard to find parts for, so I decided this year to just replace it for not much more than a replacement basket would cost. It contains everything (bolts, gaskets, etc) you need to replace the skimmer and return. Our return was also leaking, so this kit worked out great. The included return assembly is the type that allows you to direct water flow. I prefer this type to allow better circulation.

I will save you some hassle if you are trying to decide if this will fit your pool. I didn't myself until after a little research. Above-ground pools have either a standard or wide skimmer assembly. If the opening to the pool is square, then it will be standard. This skimmer fits standard openings, which covers the majority of pools out there. If the opening is rectangle, then you need to find a wide skimmer assembly.

I added this skimmer to my Intex Ultra Frame pool and got rid of the over the side skimmer Intex provides. Provide much better flow to my sand filter too.
